Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance at the world premiere of Toy Story 5 in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
Swift didn’t do the step-and-repeat, but she did show up for an important cast photo. Her appearance at the Dolby Theater festival followed the release of a new song from the soundtrack, “I Knew It, I Knew You.”
When the song was released on June 4, Swift posted a message on social media. Among them was a vintage home video of himself as a child parading in a red cowgirl hat and a shirt with embroidered boots. “Writing this song felt like starting out and coming home musically at the same time. Creating something for Jesse was a new challenge, but at the same time it felt like second nature,” she wrote. : And being a @toystory kid from age 5 until now is something I’m going to continue to explore to infinity and beyond. ”
“Thank you to the wonderful Andrew Stanton for imagining me all those years ago when you wrote this latest work. Thank you to the incomparable @randynewmanofficial for the gorgeous sonic tapestry of songs and music that you so meticulously wove over the years. We created a musical world, and we’re lucky to live in it. By us, I mean myself and my friend @jackantonoff. We wrote this piece with great respect. These characters made us laugh, helped us learn lessons and think outside our backyards throughout our childhoods. ”
In the fifth installment of the popular series, Woody and Buzz reunite to save Bonnie from Lilypad, a new smart tablet. They team up with Jesse, Forky, Slinky Dog, Hamm, Trixie, and an army of Buzz Lightyear to stop technology from taking over the lives of children.
“Toy Story 5” will be released nationwide on June 19th.
