Jack Schlossberg brings a piece of his grandfather with him whenever he suits up.
He kept things politically formal for Tuesday’s appearance on “Radio Andy,” wearing a light blue button-down shirt under a navy suit and a blue-printed tie marking his personal connection.
When host Andy Cohen asked Schlossberg what his “favorite family heirloom” was from his late grandfather John F. Kennedy and uncle John F. Kennedy Jr., the up-and-coming politician pointed right at his neck.
“This is my favorite tie, the JFK tie,” Schlossberg replied.
“I’m wearing this for good luck. It’s a big day for me because I’m with Andy Cohen. It’s super cool,” he continued with a laugh.
Always well-dressed, you might think Schlossberg would have a wardrobe full of formal occasions.
But he said, “I have five ties. I only ever wear five,” adding, “This is one of them.”
The 33-year-old has worn this special neck accessory in many TV appearances and gatherings, but has also chosen it for many emotional events.
Over the years, he has worn the tie to include his mother Caroline Kennedy’s nomination hearing for U.S. ambassador to Japan in 2013, a 2024 White House appearance, and the 2023 “Today” show presentation of the JFK Profile Courage Award.
As for his late uncle, there are very few family heirlooms.
“It’s like having a clock that doesn’t work,” Schlossberg said.
“I think he lost most of his clothes. He was given a lot of JFK heirlooms and I think he lost them all.”
Page Six Style exclusively reported earlier this year that the whereabouts of John F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s wardrobe remains largely a mystery, although some items were sold at auction after their deaths or given away during their lifetimes.
