Sidney Sweeney continued to fuel rumors of a feud with her Euphoria co-star Zendaya by ignoring her from the Season 3 photo roundup.
After Sunday’s season finale, Sweeney shared several behind-the-scenes photos featuring several of the main cast members.
Sweeney posed for snaps with Jacob Elordi (Nate Jacobs), Alexa Demie (Maddie Perez), Maude Apatow (Lexi Howard) and even shared a photo of the late Eric Dane (Cal Jacobs), but Zendaya (Lou Bennett) was noticeably absent.
“It’s called…acting,” she captioned the photo, seemingly hitting back at critics of her bawdy role as Kathy Howard.
While many fans praised Sweeney’s performance in the comments section, others pointed out that Zendaya wasn’t in the dumps.
“There are no photos in this slideshow. Zendaya is confused…” one person wrote.
Another fan opined, “I don’t like Zendaya because of[Sweeney’s]values.”
However, others claimed that Sweeney and Zendaya “had very few scenes together,” explaining why there were no behind-the-scenes photos.
In November 2025, the Daily Mail reported that Sweeney and Zendaya were “engaging in a bitter feud” stemming from differences in political views.
Sweeney, a registered Republican voter, caused controversy with American Eagle’s denim campaign, which some critics denounced as Nazi propaganda with racist overtones.
According to the outlet, Zendaya refused to do a press interview with Sweeney during Season 3 of Euphoria, and the two reportedly refused to stand next to each other at an event.
This added fuel to the rumors when Sweeney stopped participating in a Euphoria cast photo shoot in March. However, Page Six was told that the shoot in question happened to be filmed during production when Sweeney was filming, so she is not included in the video.
But the following month, the women appeared to avoid each other on the season premiere, which reportedly came as no surprise to some co-workers.
“Euphoria bosses are well aware of the rift between the pair. There has been tension for a long time…During the production of Season 3, their paths hardly crossed,” a source claimed to The Sun.
“During the press tour, interactions between the two are kept to a minimum to avoid any awkward moments in front of the cameras. Journalists are completely prohibited from asking questions about the tension between Zendaya and Sydney.”
Sources say the argument between the pair stemmed from Sweeney being “infatuated” with Zendaya’s fiancé, Tom Holland, and “flirting with him” when he came to set.
“It didn’t work out with Zendaya. They haven’t hung out much socially since then,” they claimed.
The source also said, “Zendaya doesn’t want to associate with Trump supporters, so it’s a bit of a headache.”
Later that month, Euphoria cast member Jessica Blair Herman denied rumors of a rift between Zendaya and Sweeney, insisting that everyone on set got along well.
“They really did, and I’m not just saying that,” she said on “Good Day New York.”
“They actually have this great working relationship, and everyone wants to work and come in and do the work.”
In any case, the season 3 finale appears to be the end of the HBO show, so the two stars may not have to work together again.
