‘Fearless’ Sidney Sweeney claims she’s bared it all in ‘Euphoria’ season 3.
The show’s creator, Sam Levinson, revealed the actress’ reaction to her character, Cassie Howard, being an OnlyFans model on Monday’s episode of The New York Times’ “Popcast.”
“It’s funny. When I first wrote this, I thought, ‘Maybe we could shoot all of this and not have any nudity. Maybe there’s a way to avoid certain things?'” the showrunner, 41, recalled.
According to Levinson, the 28-year-old replied, “Are you kidding me? I’m an OnlyFans model. Are you saying I’m going to wear a skirt?”
He acknowledged at the time that the ‘White Lotus’ alum had made a ‘valid point’.
Sweeney went on to film a number of lewd scenes, from jumping out of a bodysuit to posing with a python wrapped around him.
The Emmy nominee dressed up as a baby and co-starred with Richard Gere’s son Homer Gere and others.
Levinson on Monday called Sweeney a “great professional” and passionately said that “every day was a challenge” on set.
He claimed they had “great trust” in each other and praised the “Housemaid” star’s “flexibility in terms of performance.”
Levinson continued, “We’re working in this world of OnlyFans where women are getting paid to whisper into ear-shaped microphones and get licked and things like that. There’s a level of absurdity to it that’s just fun.”
Sweeney has yet to directly address the racy scene, but we’ve heard that her boyfriend Scooter Braun is “totally fine” with her “provocative” role on the HBO show.
“He fully understands that it’s part of her job and respects how dedicated she is to her craft,” a source shared earlier this month.
“There is a strong trust between them,” the source added, adding that their “safe” romance began last year.
We’re told that “incredibly collaborative” Brown is “not the type of person to feel threatened by his work or try to control the roles he takes on.”
Brown broke his silence about Sweeney’s work on “Euphoria” Season 3, which concluded over the weekend, during Thursday’s episode of “Second Thought.”
The music executive, who was previously married to Yael Cohen, praised Sweeney as “an extraordinary woman, kind, generous, wise, down-to-earth and down-to-earth,” while praising her as “an amazing performance by an actress.”
The “Handmaid’s Tale” alum shared a number of racy snaps from the set in a behind-the-scenes Instagram carousel shared on Sunday.
“It’s called…acting,” Sweeney captioned the upload.
“Euphoria” is available to stream on HBO.
