We now know what led to “90 Day Fiancé” star Tyce Ramone’s shocking domestic violence arrest.
Ramone was arrested on May 22nd in Nevada on suspicion of domestic assault. On the same day, news broke that Ramone and her currently estranged husband, Patrick Mendes, were divorcing. The charges were dropped two days later.
According to a police report obtained by TMZ on Monday, Ramone’s arrest came after Mendes called police and claimed he “slapped her on the left side of her face with her open right hand” at her home.
Mendez said the argument occurred two days after he filed for divorce with his girlfriend, and was sparked by the fact that he had brought his 3-year-old daughter, Alisi, to say goodbye as she was leaving for her native Brazil.
Police said Mendez, 36, also videotaped the slap, and there were marks on his face consistent with his description.
Meanwhile, Ramone told police he acted in self-defense and called Mendes “controlling,” according to reports.
Page Six reached out to Ramone’s representatives but did not immediately receive a response.
Ramone looked unfazed by celebrating his 30th birthday on Monday, sharing a sexy snapshot of himself on Instagram. In one photo, she was wearing a skin-tight black minidress and lying on a bed holding a cake that read “Spicy 30.”
“Spicy 30 🌶️ Cheers to another year! Through every lesson, every blessing, and every new beginning ❤️
Happy birthday 🎈,” he wrote in the caption.
Ramone’s rep previously told Page Six that the reality star is focused on taking care of his family and moving forward in his personal life during an “emotionally difficult time.”
“Misdemeanor charges were filed after a personal dispute between family members, but the district attorney reviewed the matter and the charges were ultimately dropped,” her attorney told us. “We believe the results speak for themselves.”
“As with many highly personal family and relationship situations, there are always complex situations that the public does not fully understand,” the rep added.
Mendes and Ramone made their 90 Day Fiancé debut in Season 9 in 2022, which documented Ramone moving from Brazil to the United States to be with Mendes. They got married on February 22, 2022.
They are also set to star in the upcoming season of “90 Day Fiancé: The Last Resort,” which follows a couple’s therapy journey and premieres June 1.
