Taylor Swift’s wedding guest list may be missing a few celebrities, including supermodels Karlie Kloss and Blake Lively.
The “Bad Blood” singer, 36, is set to marry Travis Kelce, also 36, on July 3.
“Taylor has carefully researched her wedding guest list because the people she wants on her wedding are the people she wants to be in her life forever,” a source told the Daily Mail.
“She wants to be surrounded by people who truly share the love and meaning of that day, especially those who have played an important role in her life for so many years,” the source continued. “Over time, some of her friendships became strained for various reasons.”
One such “strained” friendship is reportedly with Kloss, 33.
The two became friends in 2013, appearing together in music videos, attending concerts together, and hanging out at home.
However, things apparently turned sour in 2018 when Kloss married Joshua Kushner. Swift did not attend, citing “work commitments,” but Kloss’ then-manager Scooter Braun was in attendance as a guest.
Brown acquired Swift’s early album catalog in June 2019, and the pop star said the deal left her “sick.”
“Scooters stole my life’s work that I never had the opportunity to buy,” Swift wrote in a Tumblr post at the time. “Essentially, my musical legacy is about to fall into the hands of someone who wanted to dismantle it.”
The Grammy winner reportedly feels that his “faith in friendship” has been “broken.”
“She came to believe that Carly’s intentions were not as genuine as she once thought, and that their friendship became more of a proximity to Taylor’s fame than a real bond.”
Since then, Swift has chosen to “distance.”
“Taylor has always believed in giving people the opportunity to show their true selves,” the source continued. “And in her eyes, Carly’s actions over the past few years have only strengthened her decision to distance herself rather than try to reconcile.”
Representatives for Swift and Kloss did not respond to requests for comment.
Another celebrity friend who’s unlikely to be there is Blake Lively, 38.
Swift has been embroiled in a lengthy legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni.
According to released court documents, Lively told Baldoni (who has accused Baldoni of sexual harassment, creating a hostile work environment and subsequent retaliation) that Swift was one of her “dragons.”
A source exclusively told Page Six last year that Swift felt “used” by Lively throughout her drama with Baldoni. Last summer, another source said their friendship was beyond repair.
Lively also addressed their rocky friendship in a December 2024 text exchange.
“Hey, I just checked in. There’s no reason to ask, but no, I feel like I should… okay? Lately, I’ve been feeling like a bad friend because I had a very sad termination that left me talking only about myself for months,” the “A Simple Favor” star wrote in a private message to the pop star.
About an hour later, Swift responded, “No, you’re not wrong, but it doesn’t really matter.”
The guest list hasn’t been revealed, but it’s expected to include celebrity friends like Selena Gomez and Lena Dunham.
