Two more Baywatch OGs have been cast for the upcoming reboot on Fox.
Michael Bergin and Kerry Packard will guest star in the new series, reprising their roles as lifeguards Jack “JD” Darius and April Giminski.
Bergin starred in Baywatch seasons 8-11 and reprized the role in the 2003 Fox television movie Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding. Packard was a series regular in seasons eight and nine.
The pair join previously announced original series stars David Chokachi returning as Cody Madison and Erica Eleniak guest starring as Shaunie McClain.
“Baywatch” 2.0 will be released on Fox in January 2027. The reboot will be led by Stephen Amell, who plays Hobie Buchannon. The ensemble includes Jessica Belkin as Charlie Vale, Shay Mitchell as Trina, Hussie Harrison as Nat, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, Brooks Nader as Selene, Noah Beck as Luke, Libby Dunn as Grace, Nadia Gray as Lisa, and Mary McDonnell as Gail.
Fox held a public casting call for the series, but no casting has been announced for the event at this time.
Matt Nix is the showrunner for the new version and will executive produce alongside director McG, Michael Burke, Greg Bonnan, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto, and Mike Horowitz. The reboot continues the story of the original series, which debuted in 1989 and propelled David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson to global superstar status. Thanks to California tax incentives, the series is being filmed on the beaches and soundstages of Los Angeles.
Mr. Bergin is repped by Chasin Agency. Mr. Packard is represented by Rafael Villegas of Kim Dawson Agency.
