Spencer Pratt dismissed Drew Carey’s “bizarre” rant against the reality star’s Los Angeles mayoral campaign with a jab at Jeffrey Epstein.
On Monday, the “Hills” alum appeared on X and shared a screenshot of a 2002 email that TV writer Jeff Davis sent to Epstein’s longtime colleague Ghislaine Maxwell, which included Carey’s name.
In the email, Davis claimed that he had dinner with the “Price is Right” host and discussed his “meeting” with Maxwell. (Carey has not been implicated in any wrongdoing.)
Pratt also shared a clip from Netflix’s “The Roast of Kevin Hart” in which host Shane Gillis criticized comedian Chelsea Handler for having dinner with the late convicted sex offender in 2010.
“Don’t you think it’s strange that two comedians who have historically been very aggressive against me are both on the ‘Epstein Files’?” What are the odds? Pratt captioned the tweet.
In 2021, Handler recalled an “awkward” and “weird” dinner party at Epstein’s house with Katie Couric, Woody Allen, Soon-Yi Previn, Charlie Rose and then-Prince Andrew, but claimed she didn’t know who he was at the time.
The former talk show host, 51, said the dinner party was the only time he met Epstein.
Page Six reached out to Carey’s representatives for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
Mr. Pratt’s comments came after Mr. Carey, 68, went on an abusive rant about the former reality star’s mayoral campaign.
“Anyone voting for or supporting Spencer Pratt in the Los Angeles mayoral race should think twice,” he wrote in a thread over the weekend.
“I understand being angry and frustrated, but at least support someone who is competent and not a serial cheater with no soul or moral compass,” the alum added.
“This person is already shit.”
Mr. Handler has also been outspoken about Mr. Pratt’s political transition.
“This is a reminder that a straight, white male, former reality star with no experience in government should not be a legitimate political candidate,” she said in a May 15 Instagram video.
“Have we learned anything yet?” Handler added, referring to Donald Trump’s two presidential campaigns. “The bar is on a fucking high floor. Everyone, please jump over there.”
Pratt is currently running for mayor of Los Angeles against incumbent Mayor Karen Bass and City Council member Nitya Raman.
The “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” alum has received support from Los Angeles Lakers minority owner Jeanie Buss, “American Idol” alum Katharine McPhee and her husband David Foster, and “Malibu’s Most Wanted” actor Jamie Kennedy, among others.
Lisa Rinna and Yvette Nicole Brown are among those speaking out against Mr. Pratt’s appointment as mayor of Los Angeles.
