Keltie Knight wasn’t planning on telling anyone about her facelift.
The E! host and LadyGang co-creator, 44, penned a candid essay for Glamor magazine detailing her decision to go under the knife at age 41 and the pressures of Hollywood beauty that led her there.
Knight said standing in front of cameras next to “the most gorgeous people on the planet” as an entertainment reporter has led to years of escalating self-surveillance, crash diets and medi-spa treatments.
At age 35, she underwent minimally invasive neck lift surgery with Los Angeles plastic surgeon Dr. Jason Diamond. Doctors told me it would last about five years. By the time she hosted and produced CBS’s “Superfans” in 2023, her glam squad was “basically tucking (her) saggy skin into turtlenecks” on set.
So she booked a full facelift, a decision that wasn’t easy.
“I was embarrassed to actually go through it,” she writes. “I know younger women are getting facelifts and are proud of their decisions, but I was 41.”
The surgery was supposed to take three to four hours, but it stretched to nearly nine hours after Diamond discovered extensive scar tissue under her skin from years of fillers, sutures and microneedles.
Diamond, whose A-list client list includes the Kardashian-Jenners, Chrissy Teigen and Nikki Glazer, said he takes pride in his intangible accomplishments.
“I work with the most famous faces in the world, and my job is to make them look better or ageless without making them reveal what they’ve done,” he told Page Six Style in 2023.
Knight returned to the cameras within two weeks and praised his handiwork.
“It looked like haute couture. It was a facelift of haute couture,” she wrote.
The three-time Emmy winner also revealed that she lied about her weight to get a prescription for GLP-1. “I’m not going to let the trends leave me behind!” She added that she lost about 7 to 8 pounds due to the medication.
She’s not the first E! alum to go public about her cosmetic surgery. Former host Kat Sadler detailed her facelift, necklift and eyelift at age 48 in a 2023 Glamor essay.
Knight said he finally let his secret out after cast member Dorit Kemsley told him he was “aging” at Rachel Zoe’s disco birthday party, filmed for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“I thought, you know what? Just own it,” she writes. “What if it’s okay to admit you’ve had bad cosmetic surgery at 41? What if it’s actually liberating?”
Knight’s upcoming book, “The F–k Them Theory,” will be published on November 17th.
