Miley Cyrus’ mother, Tish Cyrus, sparked marriage speculation when she referred to Max Morand as “husband” at her daughter’s Hollywood Walk of Fame award ceremony.
The Flowers hitmaker, who got engaged to rock band drummer Lilly in late 2025, was posing for photos with her mother and sister Brandi Cyrus at an event when Tish announced she was “bringing my husband,” according to the Daily Mail.
Morando, 27, then posed for a photo next to the “Hannah Montana” alum, 33, and at one point Morando kissed Miley on the cheek.
Representatives for the Grammy-winning songstress did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment Friday night.
The two met on a blind date, the singer revealed in an interview with Vogue magazine in May 2023. “Well, it was blind to me, but not to him,” she said.
Their romance began in earnest in November 2021, when Miley posed alongside him at a Gucci event on Instagram’s Carousel.
A month later, the pair looked friendly at Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party in Miami, where the former Disney Channel star was seen dancing with Morando backstage during a commercial break.
A source told Us Weekly in March 2022 that the two were in a “new” relationship and were “spending a lot of time together.”
In April 2022, the two confirmed their romance when they were spotted passionately kissing in West Hollywood, Los Angeles. Per E! According to the news source, a source later said the relationship was becoming “very serious.”
After the “Malibu” songstress gave a shoutout to Morando at the 2024 Grammy Awards, calling her “love,” a source told People magazine that the two have taken things to the next level and are living together.
Page Six confirmed the pair’s engagement in December 2025 after the Wrecking Ball hitmaker sparked engagement rumors by wearing a diamond ring at the Avatar: Fire & Ash premiere in Los Angeles on Dec. 1.
Miley told “Good Morning America” a few days later that things were going very well.
“Me and Max have been together for four years, and it’s clear that I’ve grown dramatically in those four years,” she said.
“You just want to have the biggest dreams you can, and you always want to have someone by your side telling you you can do it.”
Miley was previously married to Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth. The couple broke up in 2019, just months after their December 2018 wedding.
