Princess Charlotte celebrated her 11th birthday on Saturday, May 2nd. Her parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, celebrated the big day with several social media posts. The first was a simple portrait of a young royal wearing a striped sweater and jeans among a field of daisies. She wore her long hair down in natural waves and looked a lot like her mother Kate Middleton.
In a follow-up post, she shared a video of Charlotte from her gorgeous day and showcased some of her hobbies. In the montage, she is seen playing with, petting, and cuddling her dogs. She is then seen on the beach forming words and hearts with a collection of white stones. In one of the final clips, Charlotte winds up and throws what looks like a cricket ball.
Charlotte is Prince William and Duchess Kate’s second child. She has an older brother, Prince George, 12, and a younger brother, Prince Louis, 8. The family traditionally shares photos of each royal child on birthdays and other milestone events.
In October, William spoke more about Charlotte on the Apple TV+ series “The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy.” Apparently she loves trampolines, netball and ballet.
“That’s why it’s so important to get kids involved in sports or just spending time outdoors,” he says.
In January 2026, Kate also revealed that Charlotte loves being active, chatting with the girls during a visit to Wakefield Trinity. She explained that her daughter “plays a lot of sports, but not rugby.”
In March 2026, royal photographer Chris Jackson told Page Six in an interview that Princess Charlotte and her siblings are acutely aware of their place in the public eye.
“I don’t see them very often, but when I do, it’s so fun to watch them grow,” Jackson shared. “I think they understand that being in this situation is not normal.”
He added: “It’s lovely to see them interacting together. It’s been really special to photograph them over the years.”
