Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas enjoyed a rare night out in Los Angeles on Sunday, proving they’re some of the friendliest exes in Hollywood.
The former couple were photographed walking together arm in arm and smiling as they finished dinner.
Griffith, 68, was wearing jeans, a black moto jacket and fingerless gloves, while Banderas, 65, was wearing black pants, a silver bomber jacket and a white baseball cap.
In addition to the actors, her daughter Stella and her husband Alex Grusinski were also close behind.
Banderas posted a more intimate photo with his family on Instagram on Monday, posting a photo of himself, Griffith, Stella and Grusinski smiling candidly on the couch.
“I had a wonderful and fun time in Los Angeles yesterday with my son-in-law Alex, my daughter Stella, and my ex-wife and lifelong friend Melanie,” he wrote in the caption in both English and his native Spanish.
Griffith and Banderas first met on the set of the 1995 romantic comedy Too Much and married in London the following May.
Their divorce was finalized in December 2015, a year and a half after Griffith first filed.
In a statement at the time of their split, the former couple said: “We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to end our almost 20-year marriage in a loving and amicable manner that respects each other, our family and friends, and the beautiful time we shared together.”
Stella is Banderas’ only child, but Griffith has three other children from previous marriages, most famously her daughter Dakota Johnson with her two-time ex-husband Don Johnson.
Griffith and Don were married briefly in 1976, then had a more successful marriage from 1989 to 1996.
Banderas, who fled Hollywood 10 years ago after suffering a near-fatal heart attack and now lives in his native Spain, recently reunited with his ex-wife for their daughter Stella’s wedding.
Stella married her childhood sweetheart Grusinski in October 2025 in a lavish ceremony in Spain.
“My daughter Stella’s wedding was an emotional, fun, laughter-filled and heartfelt family reunion,” Banderas wrote on Instagram at the time. “Thank you to everyone who made this possible.”
In another post, Griffiths wrote, “Stella and Alex are married!! ❤️ It was such a fun, loving, sweet and wonderful time!!”
“So much love!” she added. “The knot is tied!! ❤️❤️❤️”
