BLACKPINK’s Jisoo attended the Cannes Series this week and received the Madame Figaro Rising Star Award. For the big event, she wore two gowns, including one by Miss Sohee Couture. The pop star reflected on her plans for an acting career.
On April 23, Blackpink star Jisoo attended the Cannes Series in France and was presented with the Madame Figaro Rising Star Award. On the ‘Pink Carpet’, Jisoo appeared wearing Miss Sohee’s spring 2026 couture dress.
The strapless pale pink ball gown featured an intricately embroidered corset and a princess full skirt constructed of layers of floating tulle. Her waist was accentuated with a satin asymmetrical peplum overskirt. She wore her hair partially up and accessorized with sparkling accessories, including a statement ring and a diamond bracelet.
She then changed into a completely different look, becoming a black halter-neck dress made of fragments of fringed fabric panels with a slit in the skirt. She twisted her hair into a braid and accessorized with small hoop earrings and open-toed black pumps that showed off her black pedicure.
After the award ceremony, Jisoo commented to Variety, “It was my first time to go to Cannes alone. Even so, I could feel the significance of the pink carpet. The name itself has a special meaning to me.”
Jisoo was moved by the welcome she received at the event upon arrival.
“So many fans came to congratulate me. Some came from Paris, some from all over the world. I will remember it for a long time,” she said.
The K-pop icon also reflected on her blossoming career as an actress.
“I want to play a variety of roles to satisfy the audience. I’m really looking forward to it,” she said, adding that she was “very surprised” and “thankfully honored” when she heard she would receive the Rising Star Award.
Jisoo explained, “The name of the award means “Rising Star,” so it reflects my desire to show a new side of myself.” “I decided to try harder. It’s also a great honor for the fans who always support me.”
