“Dancing with the Stars” will return for season 35. It focuses on women who may have been treated unfairly by men on reality TV.
The ABC reality competition series will return in the fall, it was announced during Wednesday’s Get Real event. The first two cast members have been revealed as Maura Higgins, known for her roles in Traitors and Love Island, and Ciara Miller, who starred in Summer House.
Their partners and full cast list will be announced at a later date.
Higgins finished second on the latest season of Peacock’s “Traitor” after being blindsided by his best friend Rob Roush in-game and revealing that he was the traitor to win the game. Before competing, she became known for her role on Love Island. After joining Season 5, she made history as the first British cast member to cross over to a US series as host of both ‘Love Island USA: Aftersun’ and ‘Love Island Games: Aftersun’.
Miller is a former ICU nurse who also appeared on “Traitor” one season before Higgins. However, she is best known for her role on Bravo’s ‘Summer House,’ a show she has appeared on for the past five seasons. Recently, it was revealed that her best friend Amanda Batula was dating her ex-boyfriend West Wilson, making it a hot topic of conversation.
BBC Studios’ Dancing with the Stars had a record-breaking season 34, with 72 million votes and the best season finale of the decade. The series averaged 10 million total viewers and about 500 million votes over the entire season.
Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough will return as hosts, while Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli will serve as judges.
