Dylan Sprouse is making fun of a horrifying home invasion.
The former Disney Channel star attended the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2 in New York City on Monday with his wife, model Barbara Palvin, and was asked about a security incident that occurred at their home in Hollywood Hills, California, on Friday.
Sprouse attacked an intruder who tried to enter his property, pointed a gun at him and held him until police arrived.
The couple provided an update after E! The news interviewer said he was glad they were safe.
“I thought it was pretty funny,” Sprouse surprisingly commented.
When the interviewer asked if it was too early to joke about it, Sprouse replied: “I’m really – and this is actually to my detriment – I’m not a ‘too fast’ person in general. We look at things the moment they happen and laugh at them.”
“You need some leeway in life,” he added. “And thankfully no one was hurt and no further violence occurred than what happened, so everything is okay.”
Palvin took a similar stance, saying they were “coping with trauma through jokes and fun and things like that.”
Shortly after midnight Friday, intruders targeted Sprouse’s home, and Sprouse confronted the suspect and was pinned to the ground, according to a photographer at the scene.
Palvin, 32, then called 911.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the California Post’s report of a robbery at 12:37 a.m. Friday and announced that a suspect has been arrested.
A source close to the 33-year-old told TMZ that Sprouse was shaken up but not injured after the violent collision.
The next day, Palvin was photographed casually attired in Griffith Park in Los Angeles, appearing to be in good spirits despite the incident.
Sprouse purchased the four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in 2021. Its value is approximately $2 million
The “Suite Life of Zack and Cody” alum married Palvin in July 2023.
