Andy Sachs is coming to see you now.
Anne Hathaway hit the red carpet at the New York premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2 on Monday night, matching the carpet in a bright red silk strapless dress and Bvlgari jewelry.
She wore her hair down in loose waves to frame her shoulders, which were exposed by the dress’s structured bustier, which also featured a flared 3D pleated ankle-length skirt. She paired the gown with matching red platform sandals.
Co-star Meryl Streep, who plays the terrifying runway editor Miranda Priestley in the film, also appeared on the carpet, wearing red, of course. She chose a red cloak, black gloves, and black sunglasses.
Other celebrities dressed to impress on the red carpet included Emily Blunt, Simone Ashley, Paige DeSorbo, Heidi Klum and Winnie Harlow.
Of course, it was a fashion-filled promotional tour for Streep and Hathaway. The two held premiere screenings around the world, including Mexico City and Seoul.
Most recently in Shanghai, Hathaway wore a tea-length Susan Fang dress covered in tulle flowers, while Streep looked stylish in a silky Saint Laurent jacket tied with a bow at the waist.
We’ve certainly seen a lot of cerulean, too. Streep joked that she “stole” the sweater from Saks for her appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” but it was actually a custom J.Crew crew neck.
While Streep posed alongside Priest-inspired real-life Anna Wintour on Vogue’s May cover, Hathaway herself revealed her beauty secrets to the magazine, earning her the title of People’s Most Beautiful Person.
Aside from a few products, Hathaway believes facial sculpting massage, proper lighting, and “being conscious of tranquility” on the red carpet are three things she swears by.
