Cher reportedly learned she had a secret granddaughter more than a decade after her son Elijah Blue Allman reportedly welcomed her granddaughter.
Former model Katie Edwards claimed in an interview with Sunday’s US Sun that she dated Allman in 2010 and gave birth to their daughter, Ever, the same year.
“Cher called me last June and asked me if it was true, so I had to confess,” she claimed, explaining that the “Believe” songstress heard something about Ever during Allman’s 2021 overdose but thought it was “funny.”
“When she heard the news, she was speechless,” claimed Ms Edwards, Julie Andrews’ granddaughter. “Cher said to her family, ‘Oh my god, I’m finally a grandma too.'”
Edwards opened up about her alleged affair with Allman, 49, and explained how she became pregnant after spending a night together.
“He knew from the beginning that he never wanted to be a parent,” she claimed. “He would come visit every few years, just to say hi.”
Edwards, who is now married, claimed Allman sent her an email in 2021 asking her to make amends for the overdose.
“She has a father who raised her from a young age. That’s her father. There’s no better father for her children,” Edwards said of her current husband.
It wasn’t until shortly before Allman was hospitalized for a second overdose in 2023 that he returned to Edwards and Eber’s life.
Ms. Edwards, who lives in Joshua Tree, Calif., claimed Allman asked her to stay with him and flee Hollywood.
“A few weeks later he was hospitalized with an overdose and it was at this time that Mr. Cher contacted him,” she claimed. “She wanted to know what happened and asked me if it was true about Ever.”
Edwards spoke passionately about her and Ever’s new relationship with the 79-year-old pop icon, explaining how she was invited to his home in Malibu, California in September 2025.
“She was nice and kind, so we had dinner,” Edwards said. “Cher asked Ever if she wanted to see her closet and showed her the jeans she wore to the concert. It was a great experience for her.”
Edwards described Cher as “childish” and explained that the “I Got You Babe” host asked Ever about boys and that they played pool together.
“She was like a child herself,” Edwards claimed.
A representative for Cher could not be reached for comment to Page Six.
The Mamma Mia actress, who has a son with her late ex-husband Greg Allman, filed for a second conservatorship for Elijah last week, claiming in court that Elijah’s “drug addiction is at its worst.”
“Elijah has no ability to manage money, and every dollar he receives from his father’s trust (his only source of income) is immediately squandered without regard to his debts or well-being,” court documents obtained exclusively by Page Six say.
Elijah also ran into trouble with the law, and was arrested in February on suspicion of assault and trespassing at a school.
