‘Facts of Life’ alum Mindy Cohn revealed she was secretly battling cancer for the second time.
The 59-year-old actress posted on Instagram on Sunday, along with a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed: “I had to go and get cancer, so I took a break from social media for a while.”
“We were able to make this possible thanks to the tremendous cooperation of the staff at Providence St. John’s Hospital,” she added of the Santa Monica, Calif.-based clinic.
Cohn also gave a special shout out to nurses and oncology.
“I have a few more weeks to recover and get ready for my next adventure,” she added. “Forward! FK Cancer!”
A representative for the “Palm Royale” star could not be reached for comment.
Cohn was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012.
“I was walking around my neighborhood in Los Angeles and suddenly I felt really tired,” she told People in 2017.
“I couldn’t go anymore. This was before Uber really took off,” the “Influenced” star explained, adding that she had to text a friend that she needed help.
Cohn said she would undergo radiation therapy, chemotherapy and a double mastectomy within the next five years.
“It kept spreading and coming back,” she added.
“I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, and then it fell again. And I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, and then it fell. I was frustrated and furious. I couldn’t control this. I couldn’t fix it.”
At the time, Cohn revealed that he had been declared cancer-free and was looking forward to playing new roles on the big screen.
Before Sunday, the “Heart Around the Table” star’s last post was a selfie of her alongside friend and fellow actress Melissa Peterman on March 17.
Additionally, she tends to be active and shares several photos with other friends and ‘Palm Royale’ castmates.
