The premiere date for Season 6 of “The Chosen” has been decided on Amazon Prime Video.

The new season of the epic Bible series will premiere on November 15th with the first three episodes, then weekly until December 6th. The season finale is then scheduled for a standalone theatrical release in spring 2027.

According to the official synopsis, “The time has come. Before the sun sets, Jesus of Nazareth will die. Season 6 captures the historical events of Jesus’ last day through the lives of those who love him and those who condemn him. Call it righteousness, the Romans call it peace, and his followers call it murder. But even in the face of loneliness and death, Jesus stands steadfast in a plan that has always led him to one place: the cross. “The Chosen” Season 6 reveals how. Jesus’ final moments changed the world forever. ”

Dallas Jenkins, chairman and chief creative officer of 5&2 Studios and creator and executive producer of “The Chosen,” said the creative team approached this story with both television and theatrical ambitions in mind. “We realized this was valuable not only as a season of television, but also as an independent feature-length theatrical event,” he said.

Jonathan Roomy returns as Jesus, Shahar Isaac as Peter, Paras Patel as Matthew, Elizabeth Tabish as Mary Magdalene, Noah James as Andrew, George H. Zantis as John, Big Ji He leads an ensemble that includes Abe Bueno-Jarado as James, Vanessa Benavente as Mother Mary, Luke Dimian as Judas, Richard Fancy as Caiaphas, and Paul Ben-Victor as King Herod and Andrew. James Allen as Pontius Pilate.

This faith-based drama produced by 5&2 Studios has attracted more than 300 million viewers worldwide.
