“The Real Housewives of New York City” star Cy de Silva’s husband, David Craig, has filed for divorce after nearly nine years of marriage.
Craig filed the lawsuit Thursday morning in New York City, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.
The couple have two children, daughter London (14) and son Rio (8).
Page Six has reached out to de Silva’s representatives for comment.
The couple’s breakup appears to be reflected in RHONY, which is currently filming Season 16.
The cast includes de Silva, Erin Ritchie, and Jessel Tank. newcomers Haley Glassman, Erica Hammond, and Daisy Toy; and cast friend Carole Radziwill.
De Silva and Craig, 45, met during a trip to Costa Rica in 2009 and married in a private ceremony in June 2017.
Despite de Silva being an influencer and RHONY cast member since the show was rebooted in 2022, Craig prefers to stay out of the public eye.
“He likes his privacy,” de Silva previously said in a 2023 Bravo blog post. “In a world where everything is shared, it’s nice to have something private about your life.”
She added of Craig: “I think he should win Father of the Year because he’s so passionate when it comes to his family!”
In a previous post on his blog, Scout the City, de Silva wrote, “We live in a world full of over-sharing and recording our every move, and I think it’s healthy to keep some things private. No, he’s not the celebrity or famous athlete you’re asking.”
She also called Craig a “perfect man” who always “supports” and “encourages” her and her children.
“I’ll admit, he’s a terrible husband on Instagram,” she said, “but other than that, we’re thick as thieves.”
De Silva previously told People that she found it “very difficult” to open up about her personal life when she joined “RHONY.”
“Being vulnerable and sharing my feelings is something I don’t do often,” she explained.
“I don’t know if it has a lot to do with me being a New Yorker. I’ve gotten this far because I look so tough. I’m glad it’s over, but we have to keep talking about this.”
