Lamar Odom wasn’t happy about his on-screen reunion with ex-wife Khloé Kardashian on Hulu’s ‘The Kardashians’ Season 6.
“For me, it didn’t really work. I felt like I was being attacked,” Odom exclusively told Page Six while promoting his upcoming Netflix documentary, “Untold: The Death and Life of Lamar Odom.”
“But I can’t undo her pain and what I gave her. She was there when I couldn’t hold my bowels in,” he added, noting how Kardashian was by his side when he fell into a coma from a near-fatal overdose in 2015.
“She always tried to do the best she could when it came to caring for me, especially while I was recovering from the incident, knowing things could be tough.”
In a February 2025 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kardashian wanted to “break things off” with her ex-husband once he turned 40.
“He’s obviously uncomfortable, nervous and sweating,” she told cameras at the time, adding that the reunion was “very awkward.”
Odom, 46, and Kardashian, now 41, appear in his new doc, detailing what happened to them over a decade ago. However, the former spouses did not meet again during filming. He said the last time they actually spoke to each other was when he appeared on “The Kardashians.”
The Netflix documentary covers the former NBA star’s life, including his childhood in Queens, his pro basketball career, his marriage to Kardashian from 2009 to 2016, his drug addiction, and his overdose at a Nevada brothel.
In the documents, Kardashian recalls Odom’s infidelity and how she found him at a motel with drug paraphernalia and cleaned up after him.
“That was a guy who was addicted,” the former NBA star told Page Six. “I heard that she gave me an ultimatum.”
In the documents, Kardashian explains that she gave Odom an ultimatum: “He needs to go to rehab or I’m going to divorce him.” Although she didn’t really want to get divorced, he chose that option on the spot in 2015, which led to their divorce.
“I don’t really remember much about it…I had quite a bit of brain damage while I was in the coma,” Odom said during the interview.
“I loved that lifestyle. But I was good at being addicted to drugs. I don’t know if I would give up that lifestyle for drugs. But if that came out of my mouth, it was obviously a decision I made, and it was the wrong decision.”
He is currently dating Rachel Bradley. When asked if he would like to get back together with Kardashian, he said: “Sometimes things happen for a reason. Sometimes you have to bury yourself under a bridge…I’m not the same person.”
She added that Kardashian is “someone you’ll never forget, no matter what relationship you’re in or what relationship you’ll have in the future.”
Odom said reflecting on their ups and downs for Doc “gave me the strength to stay sober and treat the woman I’m with now much better than that.”
He said he is “grateful” for his marriage to Kardashian, “but people and places change in your life. I’m just trying to be the best version of myself and living in the moment every day.”
“Untold: The Death and Life of Lamar Odom” will premiere on Netflix on March 31st.
