The “youth” that dominates awards season is not over yet.

After winning nine Emmy Awards last September, Netflix’s hit show has racked up a slew of nominations and awards on both sides of the Atlantic, including Best Actor, Critics Choice Award, Independent Spirit Award, Golden Globe Award, Broadcast Writers Guild Award and Royal Television Society Programming Award.

The series, in which Owen Cooper plays a teenager accused of murdering a female classmate, has now been nominated for 12 BAFTAs, with Cooper going head-to-head with co-star Ashley Walters for Best Supporting Actor. Other cast members nominated include Stephen Graham, Christine Tremarco and Erin Doherty. The series also won numerous craft awards, including directing, photography and lighting, casting, and sound and lighting.

Meanwhile, Doherty is also nominated for Best Actress for the Disney+ series “A Thousand Blows,” competing in two categories.

In addition to “Adolescence,” other nominees in the limited drama category include “I Fought The Law,” “Trespasses,” and “What It Feels Like For A Girl,” while in the international category, “The Bear” will compete against “The Diplomat,” “Pluribus,” “Severance,” “The Studio” and “The White Lotus.”

The BAFTA Television Awards will be held in London on May 10th and will be hosted by Greg Davies. It will be broadcast later that evening on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

The BAFTA Television Craft Awards will be held on April 26th, hosted by Maisie Adams.
