Gwen Stefani said she had a spiritual epiphany before she became pregnant with her youngest son Apollo, 44, with ex-husband Ross Gavindale.
In a recent interview for Hallow: Prayer & Meditation, the No Doubt songstress, who is Catholic, recalled working with a former “atheist Jew” who had converted to Judaism.
“He was studying the Torah when he had a great epiphany and started telling me about the Torah.”
Stephanie, now 56, said: “It was hopeless at this point, given the circumstances.” “I really wanted another baby. I really did. It just wasn’t possible and I was getting older.”
The “Hollaback Girl” singer began a deep conversation with an anonymous man, which she said “woke[her]up.”
She explained that her son Kingston, now 19, once approached her and begged for another sibling.
“I’m sorry, mom, you’re too old to have babies,” Stephanie recalled telling her son in 2013, when he was about 8 years old.
The “Just a Girl” singer said she heard Kingston praying every night to get pregnant.
“After four weeks, I felt like I was pregnant with Apollo,” she said. “Naturally, I gave birth to him at 44,” she said, calling it “a complete gift. And that was the first miracle.”
Stefani shares sons Kingston, Zuma, 17, and Apollo, 12, with Rossdale, whom she was married to from 2002 to 2016.
The “Rich Girl” singer, who was married to Rossdale in the Catholic Church, divorced in 2016 and had her marriage annulled by the church in 2021, according to Us Weekly.
“Gwen was very relieved because she was married to[Blake Shelton]by a priest and wanted her marriage to be recognized by the Catholic Church,” a source told the publication.
She and Shelton married the same year.
Stefani and Stefani, 49, a country singer who began dating in 2015, held their wedding at Stefani’s ranch in Oklahoma, which has a chapel on the grounds.
Shelton was previously married to Kaynette Williams from 2003 to 2006 and Miranda Lambert from 2011 to 2015.
