Donald Trump has slammed Robert De Niro in Truth Social magazine as his public feud with the actor continues. The president slammed the Oscar-winning actor as “sick and demented” after De Niro tearfully implored Americans to resist Trump in a recent interview on the podcast “The Best People with Nicole Wallace.”
“Trump’s deranged Robert De Niro is also a sick, demented person with such a low IQ that he has no idea what he’s doing or saying. Some of it is serious crimes!” Trump posted. “As I watched him cry like a child last night, I realized he might be even sicker than Crazy Rosie O’Donnell. He’s now in Ireland trying to figure out how to get back to our beautiful United States.”
“The only difference between De Niro and Rosie is that De Niro is probably somewhat smarter than him, but that doesn’t mean much,” the president continued. “The good news is that America is now bigger, better, richer, and stronger than ever before, and it’s driving them completely crazy!”
Trump’s latest rant encouraged De Niro to board a boat and leave the country with Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.). Both senators left the room before Trump’s State of the Union address ended, shouting their disapproval of the president.
“As I watched low-IQ Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib scream uncontrollably last night at such an important and beautiful event, such an elegant State of the Union address, they looked like crazy people, LUNATICS, psychotics, sick people with protruding, bloodshot eyes that frankly should be institutionalized,” Trump wrote. “When people can behave like that, and we know that they are crooked and corrupt politicians who are very bad for our country, we should send them back from where they came from as soon as possible. They will only harm the United States of America and do nothing to help it.”
In an interview with Nicole Wallace, De Niro said Trump was “destroying” America, adding: “It’s sick, it’s a mess. We have to save this country.”
“People have to resist, resist, resist, resist, resist. That’s the only way,” De Niro said. “There’s no magic. There’s nothing. Even if Trump were to die of some illness or something, the people aren’t going away. Part of that movement is still there, and that’s the scary part. It has to be neutralized by the people.”
