Chapel Lawn is laughing off the uproar caused by her barely-there dress at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
The singer shared several photos of herself in a sheer burgundy Mugler dress on Instagram on Monday. Her wild red carpet look showed plenty of skin and included fake earrings on her chest.
But Roan insisted the dress was not a “so far-fetched” choice.
“I giggled because I don’t think this is such an outrageous costume,” she wrote. “It looks really nice and weird.”
“I encourage you to exercise your free will. It’s really fun and silly :D,” Roan continued. “Thank you for letting me be a part of the Grammy Awards and to everyone who voted for me!!”
Many fans agreed with her in the comments section, writing that her look at the Grammys was “the coolest” and “perfect.”
The “Hot to Go” singer had entered two awards Sunday for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance, both for “The Subway,” but went home empty-handed.
Kendrick Lamar’s “Luther” won Record of the Year, and Laura Young’s “Messy” won Best Pop Solo Performance.
Still, Roan, 27, wore one of the most talked-about dresses of the night.
In addition to being revealing, this style also allowed her to show off a ton of temporary body art, including a pony on her chest and a huge temporary tattoo on the lace panel on her back.
Roan credited Puppy Puppy Playtime artist Jenny Collins as the tattoo’s creator.
The “Pink Pony Club” songstress also wore statement jewelry by Bucciarati, including a gold choker and matching earrings.
Lorne attended the Grammy Awards wearing a sheer burgundy cape, but then ripped it off for the ultimate red carpet reveal.
He also changed his outfit when presenting the Best Newcomer Award to Olivia Dean at the awards ceremony.
Roanne’s second look of the night was a graceful Rodarte dress from the label’s Fall/Winter 2007 collection, which was much more conservative than her Mugler look.
She concluded the ceremony wearing a fairytale white cape from Dilara Findikoglu’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection.
