At Sunday night’s Grammy Awards, host Trevor Noah slammed Donald Trump’s former friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.
After Billie Eilish won the Grammy for Song of the Year, Noah made a joke at Trump’s expense and briefly changed his tune.
“Here it is, song of the year! Congratulations, Billie Eilish. Wow. That’s the Grammy every artist wants – as much as Trump wants Greenland. That makes sense, because now that Epstein is gone, he needs a new island to play with Bill Clinton. I told you, this is my last year! What are you going to do?”
Noah previously announced that this year would be his last time hosting the Grammy Awards, after hosting the event six times. Despite being a “Daily Show” alum, political commentary has been downplayed at his Grammy hosting gigs.
Meanwhile, Trump has downplayed his interactions with Epstein. In 2025, he said he had a falling out with a deceased sex offender over poaching an employee at the Mar-a-Lago spa. On Friday, another trove of Epstein’s files, more than 3 million files, was released.
“People are being taken out of the spa — hired by him — in other words, gone, and other people are going to come and complain, ‘This guy is taking people out of the spa,'” Trump told reporters on Air Force One. “I didn’t know that. And when I heard that, I said to him, ‘Listen, spa or not, we don’t want you to take our people. I don’t want them to take our people.’ And he was fine. And not long after that, he did it again. So I said, ‘Get out of here.’ ”
