The amended protective order was issued after the reality TV alum said doctors gave her only months to live.
Ray J’s estranged wife Princess Love has amended her protective order against Ray J, allowing him visitation with their two children following recent health reports.
Page Six reported on Friday, January 30, that a judge in Los Angeles agreed to amend an order of protection that prohibits the 45-year-old singer (real name William Ray Norwood Jr.) from seeing Love and their two children, Melody, 7, and Epic, 6.
“The restraining order has been modified to allow Ray J unrestricted access to his children and wife,” Ray J’s attorney told the outlet.
Sonya Norwood, Love and Ray J’s mother, spoke during Friday’s brief hearing. According to Page Six, Love said her children “miss their father.”
“The kids have been asking about him. They’re worried about his health issues,” she said. “I want them to see their father. They won’t be in any danger.”

The amended order of protection comes just months after the singer was booked into a Los Angeles jail and charged with criminal intimidation for allegedly pointing a gun at Love during a livestreamed argument.
Ray J was arrested on November 27, TMZ reported at the time. His bail was set at $50,000 and he was later released the same day.
Livestream video footage shared on social media showed the heated situation unfolding. The One Wish musician and Love, 41, got into an argument, with Ray J accusing his ex-wives of wanting to “drink and drive.”
At one point, Love says to Ray J, “Ray, you just pointed a gun at me,” to which he replies, “Drink and drive, Princess. Go ahead. You want to take my kids? You and your drunk cousin?”
Love responded, “I wasn’t driving! You just pointed a gun at us.” To this, Ray J replied, “I’m not pointing any finger at you guys.”
The former couple married in 2016, but in February 2024, Love filed for divorce from the musician for the fourth time.

The reality TV alum also shared shocking news regarding his health in recent weeks after being hospitalized.
“2027 is definitely the end for me,” the R&B singer said on Instagram Live earlier this month. The footage was reposted on X after TMZ reported that he had been hospitalized in Las Vegas with heart problems and pneumonia. “My health is not okay.”
Despite claiming in a livestream that doctors gave him months to live, Ray J said in an Instagram video on January 25 that if he continues on the “right path” “everything will be fine.”
Ray J told TMZ that doctors didn’t know how long he had to live and started him on intensive medication. He claimed he was prescribed eight different medications and may also receive a pacemaker and defibrillator.
During an Instagram Live video, the musician told viewers that the right side of his heart had turned “black” due to excessive alcohol and drug abuse.
“I was done with it,” he explained. “You know why? …Because I thought I weighed more. So I thought I was a big shot, so I could tolerate all the alcohol. I could tolerate all the Adderall. I could tolerate all the drugs, but I couldn’t. And that shortened my time here.”
“I’m like, ‘Nothing’s happening to me, right? Huh, that’s it. I’m immortal,'” he continued. “It’s just a joke. Everyone please be careful.”
