Francois Arnault deflected Andy Cohen’s questions about his love life on Monday’s “Watch What Happens Live.”
When the host asked Arnaud if he was “single these days,” the “Heated Rivalry” star replied, “It’s none of your business.”
The actor’s guest, Mary J. Blige, burst into laughter at his harsh reaction, but Arnault shrugged and remained silent.
Cohen, 57, quipped, “That’s not[my job]but I’ll try.” “You have to try, don’t you, Mary?”
Many Instagram users praised Arnaud’s “sassy” reaction to the Emmy winner’s investigation into his relationship status on Monday.
“You set those boundaries!” one exclaimed, while another replied, “A kingly move that RuPaul would be proud of.”
A third netizen added: “Best answer ever!!! Let the newly super famous people live their lives!!!”
But others accused Arnault of being “disrespectful” for “talking to[Cohen]like this.”
Mr Cohen’s series of cross-examinations followed Mr Arnault, 40, who has faced intense online harassment over rumors of a romantic relationship with co-star Connor Storey.
The two were spotted together at JFK Airport last week.
In particular, Story co-starred with her boyfriend Hudson Williams in the hit movie “Crave/HBO Max,” and many fans are seeing the duo in the real world.
Amid all the headlines, Arnault has made it clear that he values his privacy.
The “Borgeous” alum told the Toronto Star over the weekend about his plans to move into “a building with a doorman.”
“Perhaps a small bungalow with street access and not in a gated compound is not the best option,” he admitted.
Arnault said he was also in the process of “unfollowing everyone” on social media.
He said that while fans have “generally” been “polite and respectful” towards him as the series has grown, some “younger fans…don’t really understand the difference between reality and fiction” and have leveled death threats against him.
“Honestly, I wish they would watch the show again, because they don’t seem to understand the message,” Arnault told the show.
