Teyana Taylor and Aaron Pierre have broken up after less than a year of dating, a source exclusively tells Page Six.
News of the breakup was announced after unconfirmed rumors that the two had broken up began circulating online.
The reason for their breakup is unknown, but sources say the two have gone their separate ways.
Taylor has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress for her latest film, One Battle After Another. Pierre’s upcoming projects include the next Star Wars movie starring Ryan Gosling, Star Wars: Starfighter, and the upcoming DC Studios and HBO series The Lantern.
Taylor, who also starred in the Kim Kardashian series All’s Fair starring Ryan Murphy, and Pierre, who starred in last year’s Mufasa: The Lion King, were first rumored to be dating after they both attended the 15 Percent Pledge Gala in Los Angeles in February.
Shortly after, the couple attended the Vanity Fair Oscar party together, and Pierre appeared in the trailer for Taylor’s 2025 album Escape Room, where they shared a passionate kiss.
As the saying goes, by June they made Instagram official, with Taylor posting a sweet tribute to Pierre in honor of his 31st birthday, and then compiling photos from his birthday party.
The pair later attended the BET Awards together in LA, and Taylor, 35, told Complex in an interview that her younger boyfriend was “very sweet…It makes me feel warm and safe and keeps me from going into survival mode.”
Later, Pierre participated in a panel discussion at Taylor’s album launch and said, “I think everyone knows this, but I have to say, Teyana is truly one of a kind,” and they started wearing cute matching outfits at events to promote the project. (Taylor was nominated for a Grammy Award for this album.)
But the sweet romance appears to have ended while Pierre was with Taylor on the red carpet at the London premiere of her latest film, One Battle After Another.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in early November, Taylor called Pierre “my apple pie” and added, “We’re each other’s safe space,” but said of the boyfriend label, “If that’s something I decide to say, we’ll say it together.”
The split comes as Taylor, who was married to former NBA star Iman Shumpert from 2016 to 2024 and underwent a controversial divorce, is on track to become a regular on the awards circuit with a Golden Globe nomination and serious Oscar buzz.
Representatives for the Star did not return calls.
