Gina Rodriguez is a mom again!
Actress Jane the Virgin, 41, welcomed her second child, a daughter, with husband Joe LoCicero, and announced the news on Tuesday, December 30th, by sharing a series of adorable photos on her Instagram. One photo showed Rodriguez holding her baby daughter, snuggled against her neck.
She also posted several candid photos of her daughter, as well as a shot of her and her husband kissing in front of the sunset.
“2025 gave me a girlfriend. Lucille Edith LoCicero. I love you forever, baby girl,” Rodriguez wrote in the caption, revealing her daughter’s name.
Rodriguez and her Someone Great co-star, 39, married in 2019. The couple already have a son, Charlie Ray, and are expecting a son in 2023.
On July 11, the current mother of two announced her pregnancy on the red carpet of Netflix’s Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3 fight at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
In the photo, Rodriguez was seen happily holding his stomach during a date on the night of a boxing event. She wore a form-fitting, short-sleeved, floor-length black and floral dress. Her husband also participated in the photoshoot and hugged each other during the happy moment.
That same night, Rodriguez also revealed that she and her husband are expecting a baby girl. While chatting exclusively with PEOPLE, Rodriguez shared what she’s not looking forward to about this pregnancy.
“I’m scared of childbirth. It hurts a lot,” the star candidly admitted. “But I’m so excited for our baby girl to come into this world, so I’m like, let’s do what I have to do to get her here.”

When it comes to desires, the actress said she wants “everything.”
“This time it’s something sweeter. I think girls want sweet things. My child didn’t have that,” Rodriguez explained. “So I’m wearing flats. I figured it out the second time. We wear flats and we stretch to make them comfortable. These are the little things I learned.”
Fortunately, the actress was able to rely on her husband to help her get through her pregnancy while caring for her young son.
“My husband is literally a 10. I mean, he’s a great guy,” Rodriguez said. “Being pregnant with a toddler is probably more debilitating than I expected. And he just skimps on everything, like you would expect from a partner, but he always does it before I think, before I ask.”
She added, “He’s going to have my back and he loves me so deeply. Oh my gosh, having such an amazing person makes it really, really amazing to bring kids into this world.”
