Jake Reiner went on a shopping date with girlfriend Maria Gilfillan in a rare public sighting following the brutal deaths of his father and mother, Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner.
The 34-year-old and Gilfillan were photographed strolling hand-in-hand in Malibu, California, on Saturday.
They walked around with straight faces, and at one point Jake was even seen talking on the phone.
Jake kept it casual for his outing, wearing a blue button-up shirt, jeans, a hat, sunglasses, and white sneakers.
Gilfillan was wearing a green sweater, gray jacket and jeans.
She also accessorized with a tan shoulder bag, beige boots, and sunglasses.
Rob and Michelle were tragically murdered in their home in Brentwood, California on December 14th.
They died within “minutes” of being stabbed multiple times, according to death certificates.
Their bodies were later cremated and handed over to Jake.
Sources told the Post that Rob and Michelle were found by their daughter, Romy Reiner.
The 28-year-old reportedly told officers that her brother Nick Reiner, who had a history of drug abuse and violence, should be listed as a person of interest.
Nick was arrested later that night in downtown Los Angeles for leaving bloody evidence at Pierside in Santa Monica.
The 32-year-old was charged with two separate counts of first-degree murder and is currently being held at Twin Towers Correctional Facility, awaiting arraignment on January 7th.
Nick was diagnosed with schizophrenia before the murder and reportedly plans to plead not guilty.
The screenwriter had gotten into a loud argument with Rob at Conan O’Brien’s Christmas party the day before the murders.
The Daily Mail reports that the legendary manager said at the celebration that he was “afraid” of Nick and thought he could “hurt” him.
