“Big Brother” alum Ashley Hollis revealed she tried to make up for her breakup with Micky Lee in her last text message before her co-star’s sudden death on Thursday.

In a now-deleted post shared to Hollis’ Instagram on Friday, she shared a screenshot of a Dec. 7 text exchange with Lee.

According to TMZ, Hollis’ text read, “I wanted to reach out! I didn’t see much of you this weekend and I feel like a lot of you (redacted).”

“I didn’t want to get close to you in public with my fans around! But I wanted to reach out because, honestly, I don’t like the way things went between us and I really care about you at home.”

“I don’t want to have beef with[you]and I don’t want two black women to be pitted against each other,” she continued. “I don’t like that! That’s why I wanted to be the bigger person and reach out and squash[the beef].”

Hollis, 25, deleted the post after receiving angry comments from fans. However, she explained to X that she shared the message to show that the two stars are not enemies, despite their portrayal on the show.

“I posted this because you all keep bashing me for not liking Mickey, but that’s a lie… I reached out to her a few weeks ago and got nothing but peace of mind and hope for getting back together. I can’t believe Mickey is really gone…” she wrote.

As “Big Brother” fans may remember, after the show ended, Lee said she felt like she was the only “traditional black woman” on season 27.

Mr. Hollis apparently reached out to “squash[the beef]” with Mr. Lee after the two clashed over Mr. Lee’s comments.

“I believe Ashley is also African American, but we have different backgrounds. When I say traditional black girl, I mean the woman that people always stereotype,” she shared.

This comment clearly made Hollis uncomfortable, and she responded by sharing a video of her parents.

However, the two appear to have reconciled a few weeks before Lee’s death.

On Friday, Lee’s family announced that the reality star suffered multiple cardiac arrests and passed away on Christmas Day. She was 35 years old.

“With deep sadness, Mickey Lee’s family announces her transition on Christmas evening,” the statement began.

“Mickey won the hearts of audiences across America through her appearance on Big Brother, and her authenticity, strength and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow cast members alike,” the message continued.

“She will be remembered for the joy she brought to the lives of so many people and the genuine connections she made on and off screen.”

They concluded by “expressing our deepest gratitude to everyone who has offered their prayers, love and support” and asked for “privacy at this important time of bereavement” as they mourn their “tremendous loss”.
