Duchess Kate ended 2025 exactly as it began.
The 43-year-old Princess of Wales attended the Christmas service at St Magdalene Church in Sandringham wearing a meaningful outfit. She wore a brown tartan Blasé Milano coat, the same one she wore on her first official engagement this year.
On January 14, Middleton surprised the public by visiting the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she was undergoing cancer treatment last year, and announcing that she was in remission.
The midi coat is a longer version of the brand’s double-breasted Lahloo Anyway blazer, featuring a nipped-in waist and distinctive curved pockets.
Middleton first debuted the piece on Christmas Day 2021 and has worn it several times since then, including three times this year alone.
The mother of three wore the dress for her first and last major public appearances this year, creating a touching bookend to a difficult but triumphant period in her life.
For Thursday’s royal procession, the princess layered the coat over a plaid Gucci wool twill midi skirt, which she has owned since at least 2020.
She accessorized with her trusty Gianvito Rossi brown suede boots, mocha suede Demelier Small Hudson Bag ($525), Cartier Trinity earrings ($3,850), and a Really Wild Clothing silk scarf.
This scarf is reminiscent of the same item she tied for her Christmas celebration in 2014.
But the latest addition to the look is British milliner Juliet Botterill’s chocolate brown felt lace sputter hat (£650, about $879), which features delicate snowflake cutouts reminiscent of a frosty winter morning.
Middleton coordinated with her daughter Princess Charlotte, 10, in a trim beige Catherine Walker coat with dark brown velvet trim. The pair walked alongside Prince William, 43, and his sons Prince George, 12, and Prince Louis, 7, who wore navy suits for the event.
On Christmas Eve, the princess surprised her fans by performing a piano duet with Princess Charlotte on the carol service broadcast “Together at Christmas.”
The carol service at Westminster Abbey on December 5th included a sweet moment when all three children handwritten their names on paper chains wrapped around the event’s Christmas tree.
