Will Rob Kardashian be a regular on the next season of his family’s reality show?
During the Season 7 finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which aired on Thursday, December 25, Khloe Kardashian called her brother to tell him that people were “fangirling” over her appearance in the show’s trailer.
Khloe, 41, told Rob, 38, “They are losing their minds and distraught.” Rob replied, “They’re not fangirls.”
Producers then asked Rob if he would return for season 8. I could hear Rob laughing on the other end of the phone.
“I would love to be in Season 8,” said Rob, who also attended a family celebration in the Season 7 premiere episode. “I would love to film season 8 as well.”
Rob was frequently on screen when Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered in 2007, but took a step back from public life in 2016. Rob later explained that he stopped appearing in public, including on family shows, because he was “not happy” with himself.
In July 2025, he appeared on his sister’s podcast Chloe in Wonderland and was asked about his decision to step away from the spotlight.
“It’s all about myself,” he said. Rob clarified that there is “nothing wrong between us” regarding his relationship with Khloe, older sisters Kim and Kourtney, younger sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and mother Kris Jenner.
He further explained that he wasn’t comfortable in his own skin and didn’t want to go out if it wasn’t appropriate.

He also pointed out that “doing movies and doing things like that is not good for anyone,” which his sister agreed with. “And I choose my own happiness and peace over filming for someone who does nothing for me in my personal life,” he added.
At the time, his sister asked if he had ruled out filming altogether.
“No, of course. I mean, I love shooting if it’s positive, natural and happy with myself. Of course I’m comfortable,” he said.
“That’s good for me because I like being with my family,” he continued. “Of course I’m not against it. The reason I’m not against it is because I’m a family man and like I said, I’m just choosing my own peace and happiness.”
Rob took a step back from his family’s reality show in 2016, but continued to appear on Rob & Chyna with ex Blac Chyna. This show only aired for one season.
