Amanda Bynes is proud of her appearance.
The 39-year-old former actress took to her Instagram Stories on Monday to give her followers a rare update on her weight loss journey.
Although she “usually doesn’t (like) paparazzi photos of herself,” she posted a recent photo of herself walking down a Los Angeles sidewalk.
“I was 180 pounds,” she wrote above the image, “but now I’ve lost 28 pounds with Ozempic! I’m down to 152 pounds.”
Bynes added, “I know I still look big, but this photo is really inspirational to me!”
In the photo, the former child star paired a loose-fitting Lady Gaga T-shirt with baggy, ripped jeans, completing the casual outfit with a small Louis Vuitton denim purse.
These days, Bynes sports a platinum blonde mullet, thick eyeliner, thick eyebrows, and a septum ring. A small heart tattoo on her right cheek was also on display.
In March 2024, Bynes told her Instagram followers that she had gained over 20 pounds over the past few months due to depression.
She weighed 162 pounds at the time and confessed that her goal was to “get back to 110 pounds.”
In November 2018, the “The Amanda Show” star revealed that she had been abusing “Adderall” for years to maintain a certain weight at the height of her fame, telling Paper magazine at the time that she “faked her ADD symptoms” to obtain prescription drugs.
Although Bynes had an impressive career in both television and film, she left Hollywood after her role in the 2010 film Easy A, citing both negative experiences in the industry and a desire to focus on fashion and beauty.
In the years that followed, the “She’s the Man” star struggled with mental health issues and was even placed under conservatorship from August 2013 to March 2022.
She continues to experiment with her appearance, having cosmetic eyelid surgery in 2023 and lip fillers in August.
