Kate Gosselin will slowly be able to start walking again after suffering a “life-changing” leg injury.
Back in September, the reality star was hospitalized after her puppy lunged at her “at full speed” and suffered a tibial plateau fracture.
In a TikTok video posted on Saturday, Gosselin shared the happy news that after 82 days of not walking, doctors have cleared her to gradually resume walking.
When Gosselin, 50, went to the doctor’s office, she revealed her “skinny girl’s legs,” which she had not been able to use for months.
Now that he can walk again, he hopes to “gain some muscle.”
“The answer is yes. I’m allowed to walk. I have to start at 25 percent, then 50 percent, then 75 percent, then 100 percent,” she explained. “So you won’t see me actually walking right away, but I’m excited.”
The “Dancing with the Stars” alum was then shown undergoing physical therapy and beginning to walk while using crutches and applying pressure to her injured leg.
After my physical therapy appointment, she explained what my upcoming treatment would be.
“That’s it. We’re packing up and leaving to go home. As you saw me, I’m putting on a little weight here and there and gaining weight day by day.”
“Have a great weekend. We’ll keep in touch while we’re traveling. I can’t tell you how much my kids want to be on my TikTok when I get home. I don’t think it’s cool, but we’ll see,” she concluded the video.
When Gosselin’s pup was first taken to the hospital, she asked her TikTok followers for “prayers” as she was so “scared” due to his injuries.
She underwent “plate and pin surgery on[her]leg” and ranked it among the “top three most painful surgeries”.
The TV personality turned home health nurse is known for documenting her life through social media now that she’s no longer on screen.
Kate has shared a rare glimpse of her children with ex-husband Jon Gosselin, although two of her eight children, Colin and Hannah, lived with their father.
Meanwhile, Madeline, Carla, Arden, Alexis, Leah and Joel are in Kate’s care after a bitter custody battle.
Colin, 21, has accused his mother of horrific abuse while in her care, blaming her for “forcibly separating” him and his siblings.
