Max Morando, who dated pop star Miley Cyrus for four years, got engaged in November. According to a source who spoke to US Magazine, the couple are reportedly planning a wedding and are going in a different direction.
“Miley is very happy and in a very peaceful place right now,” the source said. “She’s not really into the idea of having another wedding.”
The couple is “definitely going to celebrate in their own way.” A source said that as a “very low-key” couple, they wanted to do “something fun and meaningful that feels very special to us.”

They added that Cyrus wants to focus on the “love” in the relationship and not the “overall production” of the wedding.
“They’ve been talking about eloping and doing something very private just the two of them,” the source continued. “She is enjoying this time and is in no rush to plan anything.”
Cyrus married actor Liam Hemsworth in late 2018, and they ultimately separated eight months later. They performed more traditional ceremonies. A source explained that this time, she doesn’t necessarily want to be a bride again or do something traditional.
“Miley loves that this chapter of her life is more private,” the source added.
The two first met on a blind date in 2021. In an interview with People magazine shortly after the engagement news was announced, Cyrus reflected on how she has kept her relationship with Morando private in the years since.
“The details I can share are, for us, our privacy and we’ve kind of kept it small, but I’m surprised that we can actually have and be able to have more options,” Cyrus shared. “I think part of it is that as I’ve gotten older, I’ve become more protective of what I’m open to sharing.”
