West Wilson will not be returning for Season 11 of Summer House, a source confirmed, as filming for the Bravo show begins in the Hamptons in early July. His contract has not been renewed.
The next season of “Summer House” will inevitably feature major cast changes after the “Bravo” show aired its most-watched season in history due to an intra-cast scandal that made headlines for months. First on the docket is the ouster of Wilson, who was at the center of Season 10’s mayhem alongside Amanda Batula.
Wilson dug himself a grave with “Summer House.” In March, rumors started circulating that Wilson and Batula were dating or something like that, but many fans refused to believe it. There was no way Batula would do something like that to his best friend Ciara Miller, with whom Wilson has had an intense romantic relationship since Season 8. But in reality, Batula would do that to Miller – and he did! And Wilson and Batula will do the same for Batula’s estranged husband, Kyle Cooke, and Lindsey Hubbard, a founding member of the “Summer House” cast.
On March 31st, Wilson and Batula announced their marital status (or something!) in a joint Instagram post. This post, and the idea of them being a couple, did not please Bravo followers. And things only got worse as the three reunion episodes unfolded, in which they appeared deceitful, unapologetic, and drugged.
Publicly, Wilson appears to be increasingly hostile to the show. Wilson, the Complex sports journalist, said on his podcast “Show Me Something” that he hopes the New York Knicks’ loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night forces a Game 6 of the NBA Finals. That way, Wilson reasoned, no one would watch the show’s bonus episode, “Summer House: The Aftermath,” which airs on Bravo on June 16 (to play against Game 6). “West Wilson, you’re trash. If you’re trying to stop people from watching our show that iiii took you to, you should move on now,” was one of a series of diatribes posted in the thread by “Summer House” star Hubbard.
Despite Wilson’s wishes, “Summer House: The Aftermath” will air without competing with the champion Knicks. The bonus episode is three conversations filmed in May after the reunion was taped. The episode is a conversation between Hubbard and Batula, Cook and Wilson, and Miller and Maya Moreno, who thought she had an exclusive relationship with Wilson until Wilson dumped her for Batula.
