Jenny McCarthy has unveiled a new, slimmer figure after revealing a year-long medical crisis.
The former Playboy model, 53, showed off her toned figure in a red bikini as she posed alongside the Boston Blue star in a Barbie-themed beach Christmas card shoot.
Wahlberg looked especially sporty in red swimming trunks, showing off his abs. The caption at the bottom of the photo read, “Palm Springs Christmas Edition.”
Earlier this week, the actress told People that her weight loss may be due to having nine mouth surgeries in a year, which left her unable to eat solid foods.
“I had a series of infections and a tumor appeared in my eye,” she explains, adding, “My teeth fell out and my implants fell out.”
“I’ve been on antibiotics for a year and had to eat only soft foods.”
“So far, I’ve been able to bite again, but just when I thought I was cured, it came back and my jaw was swollen and extremely painful. At the same time, a tumor was starting to form in my eyeball,” she said.
“People should actually feel a little sorry for me!” she added.
As for her husband, the “Scream 3” actress said the “secret” to capturing his muscular look is all about timing.
“The secret is that Donnie always shoots when he finishes a tour, so he’s been dancing on stage for three months during his Las Vegas residency and he’s doing great,” she explained.
“We have to shoot in that window before he transforms into that donut-loving cop in ‘Boston Blue,'” she continued, referring to Detective Danny Reagan, played by Wahlbeg on the procedural.
McCarthy said elsewhere in the interview that this year’s festival will be “a little difficult” to gather due to filming schedules, and that he is looking forward to the holidays.
While her husband is away filming a crime drama, the model is busy filming “The Masked Singer” in Los Angeles.
“So this has been tricky and difficult. So this year Thanksgiving and Christmas are going to be more meaningful to us than ever before. It’s just me and him at home in Chicago, me cooking the bird, and enjoying each other’s company,” she said.
