Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are rethinking their wedding plans, eyeing a chic venue in Tennessee and considering hosting the event on a private island, Page Six reports.
Sources say the couple, who got engaged in August, were considering their guest list and realized they might want to invite a lot more people than they originally thought.
Kelce, 36, remains close to many of his childhood friends from Cleveland, Ohio, as well as many teammates and friends in the NFL. Swift, 35, has many friends in the music industry.
As previously reported, the original plan was for an intimate wedding in Rhode Island next summer. The US Sun later reported that the ceremony would take place at the pop superstar’s mansion, but that may not be a realistic venue.
Swift and the football player are reportedly considering holding their second wedding elsewhere, keeping their plans in Rhode Island.
Our sources say the Ocean House Hotel in Watch Hill, which is right next door to her mansion, may be somehow involved.
However, the pair are also reportedly considering scrapping that idea altogether and going “all in” with an entirely different venue that can accommodate more attendees.
According to our sources, the likely backdrop is a blackberry farm in Tennessee.
This luxury resort has a rustic feel and is located on 4,200 acres, secluded in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Weddings at this enchanting location have been featured in Vogue, Bride, and Martha Stewart.
Notably, Swift has a home in Nashville.
The two are also reportedly thinking about international events.
Our sources say Swift and Kelsey are considering a private island like Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands, which is owned by British businessman Richard Branson. He says his grandson is a fan of the musician.
However, given that Necker Island’s size may still be an issue, other private islands elsewhere in the Caribbean are also said to be under consideration.
Representatives for Swift and Kelsey did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
