Denise Richards’ estranged husband Aaron Phypers has claimed that his expenses have gotten out of control amid his divorce scandal and he has resorted to “begging friends for money to buy food”.
The former Quantum 360 founder filed documents Thursday seeking an emergency hearing in his spousal support case, which was originally scheduled for January 5, 2025.
Fipers claims in the document that she is at risk of being evicted from her home “at any time” because she owes $125,000 in past due rent and $10,090 in past due HOA fees.
“Unless a hearing is held, I am literally at risk of becoming homeless without a car or a cell phone.
“It will allow us to move forward to an earlier date and by entering orders we will be able to access significant amounts of funds that[Richards]controls,” Fipers argued.
Additionally, when calculating the total utility bill for the home, the past due water bill for reconnection amounted to $3,543. $13,000 in past due gas charges for reconnection. $12,000 in past due electricity bills. $1,400 for past due waste management. and special overdue trash removal $1,200.
In addition to the house payment, Fipers claims he owes $17,820 on his pickup truck and $1,960 on a storage unit.
In legal documents, he told the judge that his “financial situation is worsening by the day” as he also faces spousal abuse charges stemming from his Oct. 17 arrest. As a result, he also claims he must pay $150,000 in “legal costs and administrative costs.”
A representative for Phypers did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Fipers was arrested and charged with two felonies of inflicting bodily injury on a spouse and two felonies of dissuading a witness by force or intimidation while appearing in court. This comes after the “Wild Things” actress asked a judge to extend a temporary restraining order against Phypers.
After being able to post bail of $200,000, the Los Angeles Superior Court chief judge granted Richards’ request and ordered Phypers to remain at least 100 yards away from Richards and his workplace until November 7, 2030.
In a harrowing testimony, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum claimed her husband suffered “at least three concussions” during their relationship.
Ms Richards had previously been granted a temporary restraining order on July 16 after Ms Phypers claimed she had given him a black eye during an argument.
At the time the temporary restraining order was granted, sources close to Mr Phypers denied the allegations of abuse by Mr Richards, claiming he had been injured while drinking.
He has since accused reality star Richards of abusing painkillers and alcohol (which she denies) and claimed she “bruises easily” in a response to Richards’ accusations.
Fipers originally filed for divorce from Richards in July.
