Britney Spears has reportedly gone radio silent on her loved ones due to her “disturbing” behavior.
The singer is said to have ghosted friends and family after causing concern by emerging from a wine bar with a champagne flute in hand.
“She doesn’t return texts, doesn’t answer calls, doesn’t even read DMs,” a family source told Daily Mail on Thursday.
“It’s very frustrating because we just want to make sure that she’s okay, that her life is OK, that she’s taking care of herself. But she has nothing to do with us.”
Another family source claimed that her behavior was “disturbing” and raised “a lot of red flags right now” as loved ones “don’t really know what to do next”.
Meanwhile, a third insider stood by Spears, saying: “She’s not rushing back to her family who are trying to get in touch.”
“They’ll realize that and give her a few days and a weekend before reaching out again next week during the holidays,” the source added.
“If that doesn’t work, they intend to make a concerted effort around her birthday (Dec. 2) to get her back in good graces, or at least let her know they are there for her.”
On Tuesday, the “Toxic” songstress was photographed leaving the Stonehouse wine bar in Westlake Village, California, holding a flute glass.
She was then seen walking to her car and returning the glass to the wine bar staff.
Despite initial speculation, her team insisted that the Princess of Pop was not drinking.
Neither Spears nor the restaurant responded to Page Six’s multiple requests for comment, but the 43-year-old slammed the photo on Instagram.
She called the paparazzi “incredibly mean,” saying they always take the “worst pictures” of her and that she “couldn’t go anywhere” without being harassed.
“It’s very uncomfortable,” she added.
Last month, a video surfaced showing Spears driving after a night out with friends, sparking concern from family and friends.
At the time, her second ex-husband, Kevin Federline, was promoting a memoir based on their time together, in which he made a series of allegations against her, including that she cheated on him and that she used drugs while breastfeeding.
Even though she denied his claims, the release of ‘You Thought You Knew’ allegedly drove Spears into a corner.
“She is in a vicious cycle. Old wounds are being reopened,” a source claimed to the Daily Mail.
Spears herself later claimed that the person in the video was not her but a “lookalike.” The manager of the restaurant where she dined that night also denied that she had been drinking.
At the time, sources told the outlet that her family was extremely concerned about her “horrible” behavior.
“There’s a lot of discussion about what, if anything, to do. How can we protect her from herself?” the source said.
The “Gimme More” songstress has been estranged from her family since being forced into a conservatorship run by her father, Jamie Spears.
Her conservatorship ended in 2021, but she has yet to fully reconcile with her family.
