“Full House” could put marriage to the test.
Candace Cameron Bure told Madison Prewett on Monday’s episode of “Stay True” about how her relationship with husband Valerie Bure is “in a state of constant re-evaluation.”
Candiace pointed out on the podcast that when a couple has children, the little ones “come in and demand everything about you.”
The “Fuller House” alumnus, who shares Valeri with daughter Natasha (27) and sons Lev (25) and Maksim (23), claimed that “when they get a little older, they will be at odds with my husband.”
she added with a laugh. “You don’t realize it. They’re such cute, manipulable little creatures.”
Candace, 49, stressed the importance of “finding your rhythm and really finding time for yourself and your husband.”
Her advice to Ms Prewett, who welcomed daughter Hosanna with husband Grant Trout in January, was to “make your relationship a priority.”
Candice reflected on the “great days” she had with Valerie, but admitted there were “some years I wish I could take back and do it all over again.”
The former co-host of “The View” said, “I think from year to year you have to re-evaluate what’s working and what’s not working. How are your schedules changing? And you have to continually adapt to new things to figure out your rhythm, and your rhythm is going to keep changing.”
She said “flexibility” is essential in a relationship. Because it’s the first thing that works.
Candice, who will celebrate her 30th anniversary with Valerie next summer, made headlines earlier this month when she commented that her relationships “sometimes” have “deep wounds.”
She clarified to Us Weekly in a Nov. 5 interview that their relationship has since been built “again.”
“God is in the restoration business,” she exclaimed. “(God) loves to repair and renew all things, and He certainly does.”
Last year, Candace praised her eldest son for helping her and Valerie, 51, get through a “really tough time” with a “45-minute sermon on marriage.”
In a “pivotal” conversation, Lev said, “It’s probably hard to accept marriage advice from someone so young and inexperienced. But you don’t have to be married to know what God’s Word says.”
Lev himself is now married, marrying Elliott Dunham in January 2024.
Natasha revealed in September that she was walking down the aisle with former Disney Channel star Bradley Stephen Perry.
As for Maxim, Candace and Valerie’s youngest child kept their relationship private for years.
