Don’t shed a tear for The Weeknd. He’s doing pretty well for himself.
The ‘Blinding Lights’ hitmaker broke records with his huge ‘After Hours Till Dawn’ tour, becoming the highest-grossing tour ever by a male solo artist.
Including sales from upcoming shows in Mexico, Brazil, Europe and the United Kingdom in 2026, the tour has now sold more than 7.5 million tickets across 153 shows, generating more than $1 billion in revenue.
The tour began in 2022 and toured North America (twice), Europe, the United Kingdom, Latin America, and Australia.
In 2023, the Guinness Book of World Records named the star the “World’s Most Popular Artist,” and his single “Blinding Lights” was certified as an RIAA Diamond, making him the new No. 1 song of all time on the Billboard Hot 100, surpassing Chubby Checker’s 1960 hit “The Twist.”
The only tours that have surpassed the R&B crooner’s accomplishments are Coldplay’s $1.5 billion “Music of the Spheres” tour and Taylor Swift’s $2 billion “Eras Tour.”
The Weeknd has also donated more than $8.5 million to the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen, and additional proceeds from his 2026 activities will continue to support the World Food Program Global Citizen.
Fans will also have the opportunity to win one free ticket to each tour date through Global Citizen.
The next leg, produced by Live Nation and sponsored by Nespresso, will kick off in Mexico City on April 20, with stops in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paris, Amsterdam, Milan, London, Madrid and more.
