Disney+ has forged a groundbreaking partnership with CJ ENM’s Korean streaming platform Tving, introducing bundled subscription packages that combine global and local content at a discounted rate. This is the first collaboration between an international and local streaming service in South Korea.

The deal immediately provides two bundle options for Korean consumers. The Disney+, Tving, and local streamer Wavve package costs KRW 21,500 ($14.60) per month, a savings of up to 37% compared to individual subscriptions. For another, the Disney+-Tving bundle costs KRW 18,000 ($12.30) per month, a 23% savings on the combined cost of Disney+ Standard and Tving Standard.

The bundle plan provides access to Disney franchise content from Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Hulu, as well as Disney+ Korean originals, popular Korean dramas, variety shows, and entertainment from Tving, Wavve, and CJ ENM.

The Korean deal follows a content partnership in Japan. Since November 5th, Disney+ Japan has started distributing up to 60 Korean titles, including CJ ENM’s hit “Guardian: The Lonely Great God (Goblin)” and “Reply 1988.” Tving original series “Dear X” premiered exclusively on Disney+ Japan on November 6th, marking the platform’s first major foray into the Japanese market.

“By partnering with Tving and Wavve, we are expanding our reach, enriching our content ecosystem, and delivering greater value to consumers. We are also proud to support Korean content’s global journey, and we hope this sets a new standard for cross-border collaboration in the streaming industry,” said Tony Zamekowski, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Direct-to-Consumer, Asia Pacific, The Walt Disney Company.

Kim So-young, managing director of The Walt Disney Company Korea, added, “This collaboration not only increases the value we offer to Korean consumers, but also strengthens our role as a bridge between local creativity and global audiences.”

Tving CEO Julie Choi said, “Through our collaboration with Disney+ Japan, we look forward to bringing and loving more Korean stories to new audiences around the world.”

The partnership comes as Disney+ continues to expand its Korean content with originals such as “Moving,” “Low Life” and “Tempest,” as well as new formats such as the mid-tier variety series “Weekly Entertainment Arcade.” The platform has established itself as a destination for both Disney’s 100-year catalog of global entertainment and a growing selection of Korean productions.
