Tom Cruise and Debbie Allen celebrated the prestigious Oscars without waiting for Sunday night’s Governors Awards.

On Saturday, the pair were spotted hitting the dance floor at a party hosted by Allen at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy in Los Angeles.

In a video posted to Instagram by Project Angel Food CEO Richard Ayoub, the “Top Gun” star can be seen taking a spin with Allen as a deejay asks everyone to dance.

Cruise and Allen were joined by Jennifer Lewis and Allen’s sister Phylicia Rashad, who danced to Cameo’s “Candy” and Maze and Frankie Beverly’s “Before I Let Go.” The guest list also included Jennifer Hudson.

Cruise and Allen will be awarded statuettes Sunday night at a ceremony at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Hollywood. Production designer Wyn Thomas will also be honored. Dolly Parton receives the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award. The country music legend will not be attending the festival due to health issues.

The winners were announced in June. “This year’s Governors Awards will honor four legendary figures whose extraordinary careers and contributions to the filmmaking community continue to make a lasting impact,” Academy President Janet Yang said at the time. “The Academy Board of Directors is honored to recognize these incredible artists. Debbie Allen is a pioneering choreographer and actor whose work has captivated generations and genres alike. The filmmaking community, the theatrical experience, and the stunt community. Tom Cruise’s incredible dedication to charity has inspired us all. Beloved performer Dolly Parton embodies the spirit of the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award through her unwavering dedication to philanthropy and production. Designer Wynne Thomas brought some of the most timeless films to life with vision and technical mastery. ”
