Katherine Schwarzenegger celebrates son Ford’s 1st birthday with Chris Pratt

Katherine Schwarzenegger is celebrating her son’s 1st birthday!

On Sunday, November 9, the children’s author and TV presenter, 35, marked the occasion by sharing a photo of the toddler on Instagram, giving fans an intimate look at son Ford’s first year of life.

“One!” she captioned the heartfelt post. “Happy 1st birthday son! I love you to the moon, my little prince🥳”

Photos on Schwarzenegger’s merry-go-round show the proud mother posing with little Ford cradled to her chest, while a crowned Ford plays and cuddles with his father, Chris Pratt.

Other shots showed Schwarzenegger and Pratt, 46, posing with Ford in an open field with the sunset in the background, their one-year-old playing with building blocks, and Schwarzenegger posing with their youngest child in a baby carrier.

Schwarzenegger and the Parks and Recreation star married in 2019 and welcomed daughter Laila Maria a year later. In 2022, the couple announced the birth of their second child, Eloise Christina, and Ford was born in November 2024.

“We are over the moon. Mom and baby are doing well and Ford’s siblings are excited about his birth. We feel so blessed and grateful,” the couple jointly posted on Instagram days after their baby boy’s birth.

The Jurassic World star also has a 13-year-old son, Jack, with ex-wife Anna Faris.

Schwarzenegger has been candid about her love of motherhood and raising her children with Pratt.

In an interview with PEOPLE earlier this month, the Kat and Brandy author said she and the actor are loving “this season of life and parenting” with their children.

“We communicate very well,” she said. “It’s been really important to both of us from the beginning, and it continues to be really important to us as life gets busier and crazier, especially as we have more kids.”

Schwarzenegger added that she and Pratt “balance each other out really well” as parents.

“He has a lot of strengths that I don’t have, and I probably have strengths that he doesn’t have,” she said. “We’re a great team. I think we always keep in mind that we’re a team and that we’re doing our best to work on different things. We’re also very involved in this beautiful season of life where we have young children and we get to spend so much time with them. It’s such a sweet time.”

Schwarzenegger also said that Ford’s sisters are “obsessed with hugging and taking care of” their younger brother.

“Eloise is my bath time helper and Lila is my cuddler,” she said, joking that Ford is a “crawler.”

“He’s overdoing everything and giving me a heart attack,” she added. “It’s amazing how something new happens every day, and it’s a beautiful experience. No two days are the same.”
