My recent Jelly Roll shopping spree didn’t go as planned.
After performing a series of shows in Australia last week, the country star took to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, November 5, to reveal that he felt unwelcome during a visit to a Louis Vuitton store in Sydney.
“Hey, Louis Vuitton in Sydney just legally treated us like we were going to come in there and rob them,” Jerry says with a laugh, filming himself walking outside with the store in the background.

The “Save Me” singer continued, “I’ve never been looked at like this much like a criminal — listen, the last time I’ve looked like this bad criminal, I’ve been this bad criminal.”
A Louis Vuitton representative did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Throughout his career, Jerry has been open about his criminal past. He has been to prison about 40 times on various drug charges and until recently was unable to even tour abroad.
When speaking with Jon Bon Jovi for Interview magazine last year, Jerry said, “We’re very excited[to perform outside the U.S.]. We’re just figuring out the final pieces of some legal puzzles to go overseas.”
“It’s funny, America finally agreed to let me leave and give me a passport, but some countries won’t let me come because of a felony,” the Grammy-nominated artist added. “We’re working on it. I think it works in my favor.”

“I never want to lose sight of the fact that this was a heinous crime,” he told Billboard in 2023. “This is a grown man looking back at a 16-year-old boy who made the worst decision of his life, and people could have been hurt, but by the grace of God, no one was hurt.”
