Jonathan Bailey, who played Fiyero in the blockbuster movie “Wicked” and wowed audiences with his dancing, has been named this year’s People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive,” according to sources.
Sources say the big news will be announced on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” on Monday.
Last year, Bailey was on People magazine’s readers’ choice list, where fans were able to vote for men in various categories, including “Sexiest Fierro.”
In addition to defying gravity with his singing voice, Bailey also won hearts with his role as Lord Anthony Bridgerton in Bridgerton.
Fans also loved the chemistry between Scarlett Johansson and openly gay Bailey, and the two friends and co-stars chatted on the carpet and gave charismatic interviews in Jurassic World: Rebirth.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of People magazine’s special cover issue.
Past winners include Patrick Dempsey, John Legend, Channing Tatum, Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne the Rock Johnson, Denzel Washington, David Beckham, and Matthew McConaughey.
Fallon himself is indulging in some cheeky fun. Last year, the late-night host was nominated in a Reader’s Choice vote for a parody ad attacking his rival, “Live with Kelly and Mark” star Mark Consuelos.
“Mark Consul, who?” the joke ad said.
“Earlier this week, I asked Mark Consuelos to withdraw from the race,” Fallon said on the show at the time. “He doesn’t need any of that. He’s sexy every day. I’m not on these lists at all.”
Fallon finally won this year, being voted “Sexiest Game Show Host”.
