Britney Spears has reportedly deleted her Instagram account after her erratic behavior went viral and caused serious concern from her family.
Spears’ Instagram account became unavailable on Sunday, displaying a message that read, “Sorry, this page is unavailable.” Instagram pointed out that “the page may have been deleted.”
However, you can still view her X account.
The pop star’s surprising move on social media comes after he was filmed swerving in a dangerous direction while driving home after a night out with female friends late last month. In the video obtained by Page Six, at one point Spears’ black BMW convertible crosses the median of the road.
However, a manager at the Red O Restaurant in Westlake, California, who was dealing with Spears and her friend before the “Toxic” singer took the wheel, said she was “not intoxicated” during the meal at the upscale establishment.
“She was very calm and really sweet,” manager Oliver Wynn told Us Weekly. “She just hung out, took a bite and left.”
“I was struck by how kind she actually was,” he added. “I’ve worked at other restaurants frequented by many celebrities, but I’ve never seen one as nice as Britney.”
She then appeared to give her Instagram followers a bizarre excuse for her erratic driving.
“In case anyone was wondering if that lookalike wasn’t me…🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤓,” she wrote on Instagram.
Still, footage of Spears swerving into another lane reportedly horrified her loved ones, who compared her behavior to her pre-breakdown behavior in 2007, when she shaved her head and lost custody of her two sons, Sean Preston, now 20, and Jayden James, now 19, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
“There are a lot of concerns. Everyone has always wanted what’s best for her and she’s now showing that she’s making the wrong choices,” a source told the Daily Mail.
“It’s scary,” the source added. “So there’s a lot of discussion about what to do if something were to happen. How can we protect her from herself?”
Spears made headlines last month because of Federline’s revealing memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” which revealed shocking accusations against the 43-year-old pop star.
She has hit back at his claims, and her publicist previously told Page Six that the former backup dancer is “profiting off of her” after paying child support.
